Our Philosophy:

Peaceful Rebel exists to spark a shift in how we eat and how we treat the world. We know that real change happens when the compassionate choice is also the most satisfying one. Our mission is to craft plant-based alternatives so accessible and delicious that choosing them over dairy becomes a natural, effortless decision.

Our approach is inspired by history’s "peaceful rebels"— those who believed we could dismantle unjust systems through the power of individual, intentional choices rooted in compassion and nonviolence.

  • Winning Hearts Through Stomachs: The best argument for plant-based eating is a fantastic meal. Food is a universal language, and we reach people by giving them something genuinely great to eat.


  • Showing Up Locally: Real connection happens face-to-face. We love being out at local markets to introduce people to modern vegan cheese, while also supporting area animal sanctuaries that provide care to rescued animals in our community.


  • Supporting Effective Advocacy: Beyond our kitchen, we back animal welfare organizations that focus on tangible, law-based, and systemic results to create permanent change.

Our Story:

Peaceful Rebel was founded in 2017 out of a passion for sustainability, compassion, and a drive to create genuinely exceptional plant-based cheese.

In 2026, Peaceful Rebel entered an exciting new chapter under the care of our new owner and head cheesemaker, Autumn. A chemist by trade, Autumn is passionate about elevating plant-based cuisine by exploring the science of texture, aroma, and flavor. She's also been a vegan for 20+ years and vividly remembers the days of well intentioned but disappointing dairy alternatives — and the endless chorus of "...but I could never give up cheese!" That background drives her obsession today: crafting rich, complex, artisanal creations that satisfy even the most dedicated cheese lovers.

Are your cheeses vegan?

Yes! All our cheeses are 100% vegan! No dairy, no egg, no meat, no animal-derived byproducts!

Do you offer gluten-free options?

Absolutely, all of our cheeses are gluten-free!

How do I store your cheeses?

Keep them refrigerated in an airtight container and enjoy within the shelf life stated on the packaging for best taste. Fetas, goat, blue, mozzarella, and provolone can also be frozen for up to six months. Our other cheeses are technically freezable, but we find that freezing changes their texture.

Where can I find your products?

You can order online directly from us or find our products at the retailers listed on our website. We also participate in local vendor events so check our calendar to see when we'll be in your area!

When will I receive my order?

What about other allergens?

All of our cheeses are made with non-GMO soy (tofu or soymilk) and coconut. Select products also contain cashews (tree nuts) and/or tahini (sesame). Please be aware that our products are prepared in a shared kitchen facility that also processes gluten, milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and sesame. While we follow strict procedures to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment. Our products may not be suitable for individuals with severe food allergies. Check out the page of each individual cheese for the full list of its ingredients, allergens and nutrition.

Do you ship nationwide?

We're working on it! We would like to have a subscription box in the next year. We're just released our first cheese box, with more to follow - they're great for gifts or just to treat yourself. Stay tuned! :)

What if there's a problem with my order?

We ship orders every Mon/Tues, overnight within Colorado and 2-day express everywhere else. To get your order in the next shipping cycle, please place it by our cutoff day (Thursday). Orders placed Friday or later will ship the following week. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Do you have subscription boxes or gift boxes?

Yes, we ship our cheeses to all 50 states for a flat rate of $16. Your order will be kept cold in temperature controlled packaging. We typically ship Monday or Tuesday - overnight within Colorado and 2nd day air everywhere else. We watch the weather closely and will postpone shipments if it's too hot!

We also offer free pickups in Boulder and Golden to help our local customers save on shipping. Choose the local pickup option during checkout and we will send you the address and pickup date!
